Thats why players prefer to win this trophy more than the MVP. It means more when your peers vote you as the best.

Wow definitely didn't expect to read that.
#1 Crosby - played little more than half of the season and was able to put up the numbers. (I'm getting diarrhea writing this)
#2 Ovi - decided to show up half of the season and was able to put up the points. (Imagine what would happen if a Russian could work 100% of the time? See Bobrovsky) Also see #3.
#3 St. Louis - ummm.....he's in a division along with Florida Winnipeg and Carolina so it's not like defense is a threat. |

For #3- Considering how the Flyers and Islanders have been in their own end, I think that's more indicative of the whole eastern conference, minus a few like Boston, Ottawa and... nah, that might be about it.
Crosby deserves it, no doubt, but it's still nice to see Marty get some respect. |
